Genocide survivors  support network (GSSN)

Helping Survivors heal, one life at time

Immigration and Community Integration

As new immigrants, genocide survivors often don’t know the process of seeking help for their needs because they are unfamiliar with qualification guidelines and or lack adequate information about the resources available to them in the community. As a result, they sometimes make mistakes that can often lead to ineligibility to services.

GSSN alleviate this problem by connecting survivors with matching providers, and supporting both parties with language and cultural interpretation.

GSSN also helps survivors with additional services such as college enrollment and scholarships applications, career orientation, financial literacy, and cultural sensitivity awareness.
